Why?

Here are some of the questions I am pondering. Why:

  • Don’t entrepreneurs eliminate trivial tasks and decisions that are taking them off their goals? Because it’s easier and it takes commitment and discipline to focus on their goal.
  • Is common-sense so uncommon? Because perhaps it is an innate trait that can not be learned or taught.
  • Do so many so-called thought leaders and thinkers mostly quote others rather than develop their own unique quotes? Because it is the easy and lazy thing to do.
  • Do I have to enter my name and email address when a social media connection offers me their so-called “free” gift? Because their true intent is to add me to their contacts database.
  • Aren’t they doing something special for me and my guests when my restaurant reservation is delayed? Because it is cheaper and they don’t understand customer-focused mindset.
  • Would a successful client email me that she is emailing her assistant to schedule our meeting, which then almost took a week to schedule rather than look at her calendar and schedule the meeting right there and then? Because she needs to justify the existent of her assistant and have not realized the bureaucracy she has created.
  • Are some afraid to pick up the phone and call a prospective client? Because of their lack of self-esteem and strong belief in the value they provide.
  • Do some professional speakers tell stories that are way too long, are self-serving and provide no value? Because they are egocentric and oblivious to their impact on others or actually lack of.
  • Do some blame everyone and everything for their lack of success rather than pause for a moment and get introduced to the person in the mirror? Because they first need to create success for others before they can create success for themselves.

What are the questions you are pondering?
