This week’s reflection point: I’ve been fortunate to frequently receive global inquiries for new business that eventually become clients of ours. Here is one I just received this week from Nigeria: “Chad, I have just finished reading Million Dollar Web Presence and I need to rebuild my web presence from scratch.” I decided to come up with a quick list of where most of my business comes from. Here it is:
- Existing Clients – Have been instrumental in their impact on our revenues and spreading the word.
- Referrals – Are the key to leverage our clients’ successes and introduce us to new prospective clients.
- Web Presence – Is the magnet that leverages our content, reputation, and appearance to build interest and increase the attraction to us.
- Speaking – Allows me to engage my target audience with powerful ideas and intrigue them to contact us for help.
- Publishing – This includes all aspects that present our intellectual property to the world.
- My Book – Has been instrumental in creating additional credibility to bring new clients to us and open up new markets.
- Collaborations – With other strategic thought leaders has been profound way of growing my business.
- Networking – Whether attending important events in person, joining and creating online communities or leveraging the various social media platforms.
This week’s tip: Identify where the bulk of your business currently comes from and where new business could come from. Once you do, go there!
