Pay It Forward Raising the Barr Weekly Memo: Issue 155

My mother-in-law is in the hospital and after visiting with her all day, my father-in-law stopped for some dinner at a local restaurant. A 92 year old man, eating alone, he ate quietly and spoke to no one. When he went to pay his check he was told it had been taken care of by the couple at the next table. He was utterly amazed. Yesterday was his 92nd birthday. Though unfortunately we weren’t celebrating as planned, that was a beautiful, random act of kindness!

Our world is chaotic and often lacking in common courtesy and kindness. Imagine a world where we each paid it forward and did one small act of goodness a day!
